A beautiful early SA Dagger! The blade on this one has been cleaned and it's very nice. The upper reverse has some minute scratches like someone tried to sharpen it. I say that but it's not sharp so maybe someonerubbed it across a rich or such. I tried to get this in a pic but could no you can only find these if you hold the blade just so in the sun. The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "HACO Berlin" distributor mark are both nicely executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows the slightest spotting. The steel based, undented brown anodized scabbard is pretty nice, the is some oxidizing to the front. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguards in color, age patina and radii. The ball retains a nice round shape and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "B" (Berlin). The dark brown multi-toned grained hardwood grip looks great! There is the common pressure marks throughout, it also retains some nice factory lacquer! No cracks, flakes or chips! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit! The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A wonderful example of an early SA dagger!
