The Cadillac of all SS Dagger makers: B?ker! The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue" motto and "B?ker Solingen" maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! They truly provide a wonderful contrast to the bright blade! The motto shows that faint pimpling that we often encounter with B?kers as well. The fit is perfect and the tip comes to a sharp point. The crossgrain looks wonderful as you shine it in the light! The blade rates Exc++. It shows age spotting/greying throughout along with the common surface scratches. The scabbard body is steel based and black anodized. It remains completely dent free, hold a nice dark finish and continues to retain 40% of its original factory lacquer! Nice! It shows oxidization spotting throughout. The nickel silver scabbard fittings look great. They show minor hits and age toning but that's it. The ball has one hit but continues to retain a round shape. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The nickel silver crossguards look excellent. The reverse of the lower fitting is district stamped "I" (Munich). The black died hardwood grip is in wonderful condition! Way better than most we come across! It shows the common pressure marks throughout yet it remains chip, crack and flake free! Now that's hard to come by! It exhibits those wonderful fits that reflect the time and effort B?ker invested in these pieces. The nickel silver eagle is crisp and wonderfully detailed. It also has a perfect fit with no evidence of ever being disassembled! The SS roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A quality piece by B?ker!
