These are rare! So even to find one in this condition is great! It is constructed out of a steel sheet metal base that has been die stamped and red and white enamel painted, which has been folded over a white twisted cotton string and printed paper insert. The round shaped obverse features the Carl Eickhorn logo and reads: "Original Eickhorn Solingen", "Ges. Gesch.", it also has a paper insert to the bottom and a string to the top. The reverse reads: "Eickhorn Tradition Qualitat" and has that same paper insert and string. The front and back are both dented, the paper insert is 40% intact and the string shows some wear. Nice enamel paint remains. It measures approximately 1 3/16 inches in diameter. A rare piece!
