Wow! A rare and beautiful example! If you’ve been waiting for one of these look no further this one is for you! The plated blade on this one is very attractive! It has a wonderful mirror like finish with beautiful plating! The “Blut Und Ehre!” maker mark and “RZM M7/36” (E & F. Hörster & Co, Solingen) are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM! There are the common surface scratches and runner marks. The original leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, blue pebbled leather covered scabbard is wonderful! It has the common pressure marks and scuffs, yet really nice! The fittings are all steel based, nickel-silver washed and burnished. They continue to hold some of their original factory lacquer to the crevasse. The fittings display beautiful detail with a decorative rope pattern on each and to the top the Hitler Youth eagle elegantly clutches a sword and hammer in its talons. The nickel silver crossguard is slightly upswept with the proper rope design and burnished backgrounds. The steel pommel cap has the correct two headless brads which in turn secures the original tight wire wrap. You’ve got to love that pommel cap top 100% right and textbook. This piece is just beautiful! A rare one for an advanced collector!
