Early SS Dagger by RZM 120/34

Another good Max show pick up. The blade on this one looks awesome! It has absolutely wonderful crossgraining, which runs the full length of the blade! The "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" motto and "SS 120/34 RZM" maker mark are both: crisp and beautifully executed! With a nice fit, this blade rates Exc++. There is minor random spotting. The hilt/scabbard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The black anodized scabbard looks great! It has a nice finish and remains completely dent free! There is a small hit clearly show to one edge and minor scratches. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great and have nicely patinaed over time. The ball is intact which can be hard to find, you can see the solder line where this was put together. BTW, the ball has that unique shap we often see with Pack daggers. I know there was some discussion a few years ago attributing these 121/34's to Pack but I don't think anymore came of it. All four screws remain intact! The solid nickel crossguards also look great, matching the scabbard fittings in wear and patina. The grip has some small flakes and hairlines at the upper crossguard The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SS runes look excellent with 100% enamel and a perfect fit as well! This piece also comes with an early pre-RZM vertical hanger that looks to me to have a repaired strap and missing rivets. Regardless it's period and looks great on this.
