A quality example by Alcoso fresh from Veterans estate! The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched knight "AWS Alcoso Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! The crossgrain is wonderful! Easily visible from hilt to tip. It also has a perfect tip and solid fit! Overall the blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows minor spotting towards the reverse tip which I have shown and one nail catcher, that's it. The original buffer pad remains intact. The steel based airplane grey scabbard looks wonderful! It is beautifully detailed with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns throughout. It continues to remain dent free! The two throat retaining screws remain intact. The burnished aluminum eagle crossguard looks awesome! It is beautifully detailed throughout the eagles feathers, wings and top side embossed acorns and oak leaves! It perfectly matches the alluminum scabbard bands. The steel ferrule and burnished alloy pommel are also both nicely detailed and look at that hand work, guys this is what collecting is all about. The wood based celluloid covered grip looks excellent being chip and crack-free! The double twisted wire wrap is in perfect condition and has a nice and tight fit. A great, clean and correct example sporting all textbook Alcoso features!
