A wonderful example unmarked Kriegsabzeichen für Hilfskreuzer by C.E. Juncker! It was awarded for a proven successful long distance operation on an Auxiliary Cruiser (or supply ships that supported them). It is constructed out of two-pieces of die struck tombak that have been gold gilded and silver washed. The oval shaped obverse features a man standing in a Viking long ship, with its sail set, on a world globe, cruising on the globes Atlantic Ocean. This is all below a Kriegsmarine eagle (with outstretched wings clutching a swastika within its talons) and is surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The full back reverse shows the correct tombak; round head rivet, soldered block hinge, soldered round wire catch and dark coke bottle pin! Wonderful detail, silvering and gilding remain! It measures approximately 1 ¾ inches wide by 2 ¼ inches tall. See page 490 of Weber & Skora's Vol. I "The Kriegsmarine Awards". The whole badge is in wonderful condition!
