This item is to epitome of german workmanship and mechanical complexity! It was to be used to optimize the fire effectiveness of machine guns such as the MG-34 LMG. The device appears fully functional it all works and moves as it should. It is about a foot long more or less and about 4-5 inches wide. Shipping weight is about 3 lbs. This is in effect a very very complex mechanical slide rule, probably the most complex slide rule ever built. It was originally issued in a black leather holster similar to that used with other portable German artillery slide rules and such equipment, but the holster was not present when we acquired this item
