Here we have a DRKB Veterans 2nd Pattern 25 Year Membership Pin! It is a two piece construction the back portion is made out of an alloy base that has been die struck and silver washed and the top portion is made out of a tombak base that has been die stamped and bronze washed and contains white, black and red enamel work. The obverse features, within a shield shape, the black Kyffhäuser monument on a white field and is above a NSDAP National flag. This is all underneath a circular “25” on a black enamel field and is surrounded by a silvered oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The full back reverse shows an embossed “1” and “Ges. Gesch.”. It also has a hinge, pin and catch assembly that remain in well working condition. Most of these are the stickpin variation, which makes this on a rarer variant. It shows some enamel cracking yet retains approximately 98%+. Excellent silver wash remains! It measures approximately 1 1/4 inches tall by 15/16 inches wide. Nice!
