A beautiful piece of silverware specifically made for Adolf Hitler residences. This silverware was made by P. Bruckmann & Söhne, Heilbronn and designed by Prof. Gerdy Troost. It is a two piece construction with a stainless steel blade/tang and 800 silver handle. The obverse handle depicts an embossed NSDAP eagle with closed wings clutching a wreathed swastika flanked by the Führer’s monogram: “A” (left) and “H” (right), to the largest portion, which is bordered in a “Greek Key” pattern. There is a small buffer pad separating the handle and blade. The factory grained smooth rounded blade shows has a swage to the obverse. The reverse has that same bordered “Greek Key” pattern, and is marked to the very top of the handle with: a crescent, a crown, “800” and a Prussian eagle. It shows the common surface scratches and minor pressure marks throughout. There is beautiful crisp detail to the eagle, maker mark and border! It measures approximately 10 inches long. A very fine piece!
