A beautiful piece of silverware specifically made for Adolf Hitler residences. This silverware was made by P. Bruckmann & Söhne, Heilbronn and designed by Prof. Gerdy Troost. It is a two piece construction with a stainless steel blade/tang and 800 silver handle. The obverse handle depicts an embossed NSDAP eagle with closed wings clutching a wreathed swastika flanked by the Führer’s monogram: “A” (left) and “H” (right), to the largest portion, which is bordered in a “Greek Key” pattern. The factory grained smooth rounded blade has a small swage to the obverse. The reverse has that same bordered “Greek Key” pattern, and is marked to the very top of the handle with: a crescent, a crown, “800” and a Prussian eagle. It shows the common surface scratches throughout. There is beautiful crisp detail to the eagle, maker mark and border! It measures approximately 8 ½ inches long. A quality piece!
