Here's an excellent example of an Army Dagger! The blade on this one is nice! The "A.W. Jr Solingen" maker mark is perfectly executed! It is dark, crisp and provides a beautiful contrast to the bright blade! The crossgrain is easily visible throughout. It retains a solid fit and ends at a perfect tip. The blade rates a solid Exc++ with some age spots. The leather washer continues to remain intact. The dent free scabbard is steel based and nickel plated. It provides wonderful detail with the pebbling throughout and oak leaf and acorn bands! The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The alloy based, nickel plated crossguard also provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns! The wood based celluloid covered grip on this one looks excellent! No cracks chips or splits.
