A nice grip on this one! The blade looks good. The crossgrain still remains visible, the fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "SMF Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The blade rates Exc+. It has age grey throughout. The brown anodized scabbard has some oxidation spots and a small dent to the lower obverse. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are in great shape just minor wear. The ball has a wee hit to the bottom but retains it's basic shape. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in excellent condition and match the scabbard fittings in color and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Wf". The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The light brown/blonde hardwood grip has a nice red finish and looks awesome! No chips, cracks or splits! There are some scratches and other evidence of normal period wear. The solid nickel eagle is perfect, retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Overall this piece is looks great and will look great in your collection!
