Check out those Kissing Cranes! The bright blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "Robert Klaas Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The fit is perfect and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates VG/Exc. It has been cleaned and sharpened/re-pointed. It is approximately 5mm short. It shows the common age greying / scratches throughout. The scabbard body is steel based and black anodized. It continues to hold a nice dark finish and remains completely dent free! The nickel silver scabbard fittings look great. There are a few minor pressure marks to the lower obverse fitting along with one wee bruise to the ball, yet retains a nice round shape. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect! The solid nickel silver crossguards look excellent as well matching the crossguards in color and patina. The reverse of the lower fitting is district stamped "I" (Munich). The black died hardwood grip continues to retain some of its original factory lacquer! It shows several large cracks and one chip out of it. The nickel silver eagle has a perfect fit, is crisp and wonderfully detailed. The SS roundel retains 90%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit. This one comes with a well-worn one-piece hanger. The end of the leather is broken off the "A" (Assmann) "DRGM" marked clip works well. IMO this one presents better than it sounds.
