A great matching piece by Carl Eickhorn! The blade on this one looks excellent! It has a beautifully executed, dark "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark! The crossgrain is stunning running the full length of the blade. It has a perfect tip and solid fit. The blade on this one rates Exc++/NM! It shows minor age greying throughout. The original buffer pad remains intact. The steel based plated scabbard looks great nicely ageing to a dark patina. It depicts great details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and both throat retaining screws remain intact and unturned. It has a snug fit up to the crossguard. The zinc-alloy eagle crossguard and aluminum pommel look great! The eagle has nice detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The pommel is beautifully hand enhanced and has proud swastika surrounded by oak leaves and acorns. 95% of the gold gilding remains intact! Beautiful! The early trylon grip has aged to a light orange over time. The aluminum springy wire wrap remains tightly intact. Overall this one is a great example!
