A nice later 2nd Model! The stamped "WMW Waffen" maker mark is evenly stamped although on a slight angle which is understandable as these were done by hand. The crossgrain is easily visible. Overall the blade rates Exc+. It has a wee wiggle to the fit and shows minor age gray. The pommel is seized and I do not like forcing these things. The original buffer pad remains intact. The steel based airplane grey scabbard looks great! It is beautifully detailed with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns throughout. It continues to remain dent free! The two throat retaining screws remain intact. The matching patinaed eagle crossguard looks awesome! It is beautifully detailed throughout the eagles feathers, wings and top side embossed acorns and oak leaves! The steel ferrule and pommel are also both nicely detailed! Traces of original gilding remain to the pommel. The plaster based celluloid covered grip looks excellent being chip and crack-free! The double twist aluminium wire wrap is in intact. This one comes with a worn portepee. It is missing the slide. A fine and correct example!!
