Here's one recently purchased from the Vet's family by me. The blade on this one looks good! It has a beautifully executed acid etched "Arbeit adelt" motto and "Alcoso Solingen" maker mark. The tip is perfect as well! The blade rates Exc++/NM. The steel based, dent-free, silver plated scabbard looks great! It retains wonderful detail with the burnished: decorative swirls, random pebbling and wheat leaves! It retains 99% of its plating and some factory lacquer where the finish appears white, the rest has patinaed to a nice black/blue as time and oxygen has done it's work. Indeed I could clean this up nice and bright but I prefer to leave this stuff exactly as found. The two original throat retaining screws remains intact. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly! The zinc based plated hilt looks great! It retains beautiful detail with the proud RAD logo to the front crossguard and eagle head on the pommel! The white celluloid grip plates are cracked. Nice details throughout this piece, if you can forgive the cracks you have found yourself a bargain!!
