The cream of the crop! The blade on this one is a real treat! The acid etched “Meine Ehre Heißt Treue” motto and “Robert Klaas Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! They truly provide a wonderful contrast to the bright blade! The full crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light! The fit is perfect and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates a solid NM! It shows the common runner marks and only the slightest spotting. The scabbard is beautiful! The body is steel based and black anodized. It continues to hold a nice dark finish and remains completely dent free. It only has two wee areas of spotting. The nickel-silver scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball has one small bruise to its very bottom, yet it retains a nice round shape. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The nickel-silver crossguards look excellent as well, matching the crossguards perfectly in color and patina. The very bottom of the crossguard is numbered: “138412”. The reverse of the lower fitting has a rare district stamp “II” (Dresden). The black died hardwood grip is in wonderful condition! Way better than most we come across! It shows the common pressure marks throughout but no flakes, chips or cracks! Now that’s hard to come by! The nickel silver eagle is crisp and wonderfully detailed. It also has a perfect fit! The SS roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! This one comes with a wonderful early vertical hanger with replaced strap. The leather remains in excellent condition and the clip works perfectly! A high quality piece that will be very difficult to upgrade! One you will cherish for years to come!
