A fine looking piece. The blade on this one is tired. The acid etched “Paul Weyersberg Solingen” maker mark remains looking good! It continues to have a perfect tip and solid fit. The blade rates Exc. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black painted scabbard body looks great! It holds 97%+ of its original paint coverage and remains dent free! The nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings remain nice and bright. They show age spotting/bubbling throughout. 5 screws remain intact. The chain assembly is missing. The scabbard to crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguard and pommel are zinc-alloy based and nickel-silver plated. The bottom of the crossguard is stamped “115” (early) and “DRP” which is always nice to see! The enamel to the swastikas is 100% intact! The black hardwood wood grip is in wonderful shape! Way better than most! Just the odd pressure mark but not cracks, flakes or chips! The correct postal eagle insignia is properly pinned, proud of the surface, just as it should be. Time for you to enjoy a Postal Dagger at a fraction of the cost!
