A beautiful quality RZM SS Dagger! The blade on this one is just stunning! The acid etched "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue" motto and "RZM M7/81 RZM 1241/39 SS" (Karl Tiegel, Riemberg) SS contract number and maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to tip! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates a solid NM! It shows the slightest age spotting throughout along with the common runner marks/surface scratches. The scabbard on this one is a real beauty! The scabbard body is steel based and black enamel painted. It shows minor age spidering throughout yet has a beautiful dark finish, retains 98%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look beautiful as well! They retain 98%+ plating coverage and remain looking nice and bright! The ball continues to retain its original round shape and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard to hilt fit could be better. The zinc-alloy based nickel-silver plated crossguards look beautiful, matching the scabbard fittings perfectly. The black died hardwood grip is wonderful! The common pressure marks yet no cracks, chips or flakes! The aluminum eagle is shows minor fading to the high spots yet remains nicely detailed and has a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 99% of its enamel with traces of lacquer still visible and also has a perfect fit! This is on you will cherish and never regret having!
