A nice kriegsmarine Belt Buckle by Noelle & Hueck, Lüdenscheid 1942. It is constructed of a single piece of die struck steel that has been plated and gold gilded. The obverse gold roundel depicts a closed winged kriegsmarine eagle griping a mobile swastika in its talons on a smooth round background. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom and is underneath: “Gott Mit Uns” (God with us). The wreath and motto are both in front of a decorative lined type pattern which is encircled by two twisted ropes. The gilded roundel lies on a smooth silvered rectangular backing. The reverse is maker marked “N & H 42” (Noelle & Hueck, Lüdenscheid 1942). The steel painted prongs and catch remain intact. It measures approximately 2 1/2 inch wide by 1 15/16 inches high. Here's a similar navy buckle example we've previously owned Cool!
