Hitler Youth Belt Buckle by RZM M4/38

Here we have a Hitler Youth Belt Buckle by RZM M4/38 (Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid). It is constructed out of a single piece of injection molded aluminum alloy. The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged HJ eagle clutching an HJ diamond within its talons on a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: “Blut und Ehre” (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and all lies on the smooth rectangular background. The reverse is clearly maker marked “RZM M4/38” (Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid). The aluminum prongs and integral catch remain in great condition. It shows minor surface scratches and wear throughout. The details to the eagle, motto and roundel are superb! It measures approximately 2 7/16 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches high. A nice example!
