Period telephone in bakelite. This is maker marked ""ber", dated 1944, and serialized "62049". There is normally an aluminum plug that the cord plugs into. Insead the cored goes into the center hole. Not sure what the deal is there. Done in the period or some time later, who knows? This is quite heavy sok I assume the battery is intact. Really I see no external damage. You likely know more about these than I so if you have questions pls ask.
