Here we have a Named Reichsbahn (Railway) Personnel’s M35 NCO/Officers Visor Cap by Alfred Valet. The visor is constructed of dark blue doeskin wool with a black velvet center-band and a blue/red piping. All of the wool shows the odd moth hole and the odd spot of thinning throughout. It has the silvered alloy railway eagle insignia along with the three piece (black cardboard, silver washed tombak and red felt) national tri-color cockade. The interwoven blue/yellow chinstrap is in excellent condition! The black/brown lacquered vulcanfiber visor peek looks wonderful! The odd paint splatter to the interior. The interior is lined in a light brown-red oilcloth material. The top has a celluloid sweat diamond which is maker marked “Mützenfabrik Alfred Valet Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt” and named underneath it. It is also size stamped “54”. The brown leather sweat-band is rigid yet all intact. There is also a stamp on the sweat band but I can make it out. A nice named one with a clear maker mark!
