The blade on this one is tired. It has a age grey and pitting. I've not touched it. It's there perfect piece for someone willing to put some elbow grease into it! The maker mark is perfectly executed! The blade rates Poor. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard shows minor paint loss but remains dent-free. It shows the common age scratches and surface oxidation throughout. The steel based nickel plated fittings are in fine shape retaining all their screws. All the hilt fitting are in fine shape, The end of the quillion terminates with an elegant drilled knob. The hardwood black grip has some chips and cracks. It is secured with the correct nickel wire wrap, which is also secured to the reverse by a horizontal plate. The tightly secured hand-enhanced copper police eagle is beautifully detailed with an good fit! The ferrule remains looking good with nicely detailed leaves and acorns. The pommel nut is quite correct. This comes with an original but terribly frayed police office knot. A great price!!
