This is a later lightweight aluminum based example. It has a nice gilded aluminum based hilt. The plated blade is perfect, stone mint. The blade is stamped with the tell-tale C&J logo in a shield. Sorry it's so far under the languet I can't take a pic, trust me it's there. This one is illustrated in Angolia reference pg 73. Real nice details to this. This eagle is in the short pointed wing political style with a right looking eagle. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent-free with wear towards the drag. The top of the hilt is hand chiseled expertly matching the tang with hand enhanced detail to the lion's hair. The head again is hand enhanced with inset evil looking glass eyes. The grip is painted aluminum with just a few small scrapes. It is wrapped with triple wire wrap. A nice example by a rarer maker!
