A well-worn, modified State Service Flag by Küpper & Rudolph, K?ln! This flag is constructed out of red, white and black printed canvas cotton with a repair of a stitched on separate red cotton piece to the fly end. The rectangular shaped obverse has a centrally placed roundel of a stagnant black swastika on a white base, the top left hand side is a black and white national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons. The reverse is the same as the obverse. The hoist end has a black stitched on white buckram reinforcing edge that has a steel mounting/dismounting clip to one end and an attachment loop to the other. The edge is maker marked "Küpper & Rudolph K?ln" and I can also make out "Geshütz". It shows age toning, thread catches, soilage, rips, tears and holes throughout. It is well worn. It measures approximately 108 inches long by 60 inches wide. Large and in charge!
