This one is for the knowledgeable collector. A beauty for sure with all matching patina! The bright blade on this one looks great! The acid etched “Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning running the full length of the blade. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an Exc++/NM. It shows just the most minor age. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The nickel-silver based scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The zinc-alloy based, silver plated Eickhorn crossguard provides wonderful detail throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The yellow/orange, trylon grip on this one is near perfect being one tone darker to the obverse, evidence that time and UV has done it's work! What I really like about this is that all the patina is matching and just look at all that factory lacquer!!
