What a great early droop tail 1st pattern Luftwaffe Membership Lapel Stickpin! This piece would be worn by Luftwaffe members when they were in civilian clothing. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been bronze washed and burnished. The obverse features an early 1st pattern Luftwaffe droop tail eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a mobile swastika in one of its talons. The full back reverse features a soldered on and knurled nickel stickpin. It may be marked "Ges. Gesch." to the swastika arm but I can't make out a good enough view and photo of it. The face measures approximately 1 1/8 inches wide by 7/8 of an inch tall. Beautiful detail work!
