A nice example purchased from the Vet's family. The unmarked blade on this one is minty with just the very most minor touch of plating lifting toward the reverse tip. The blade rates a solid Mint-. The steel based 1st pattern Eickhorn nickel plated scabbard is a beauty. It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaves and acorn bands. It also remains completely dent free. The original 2 screw throat retaining system remains intact and unturned. The alloy based generic Eickhorn plated eagle crossguard shows some plating loss. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with burnished background and proud oak leaves and acorns! The orange trylon grip is perfect! Included are the well worn period shortened hangers that came in with this. A wonderful example all around!
