Here we have a Pay Group 6 Railway (Deutesche Reichsbahn) Signals Personnel’s Service Tunic (Dienstbluse) for the Saarbrücken City Rail. It is constructed out of thick quality navy blue doeskin wool. The wool is very clean! The tunic has four pockets with scalloped buttoned flaps, the two breast pockets are pleated. The front vertical closure has six gilt steel pebbled buttons. All of the buttons are all marked “Extra Fine” to the underside. The signals collar tabs are hand stitched on and were likely replaced at some point. They are constructed out of a black wool covered cardboard base with a pined on winged wheel surrounded by a twisted yellow rayon exterior. The shoulder boards are the sew-on type identifying Pay Group 6. They are constructed out of a red wool covered cardboard base with a with a stitched on Russian braid yellow and blue rayon covered cotton string underneath two silvered pips and a securing button to each. The left arm features a hand stitched on machine embroidered black and yellow cotton above a black rayon “RBD Saarbrücken” railway eagle. The interior is lined in a black silk-rayon. There is a left breast pocket and stitched on tag. The interior arms are lined in a white and grey lined silk-rayon. The tunic is a size medium. A nice Railway Tunic!
