Navy M40 EM Seaman's Pea Jacket

Here we have a French manufactured Kreigsmarine (Navy) M40 Enlisted Seaman's Pea Jacket (Seemannsjacke). It is constructed out of a multi-piece navy blue wool construction. The wool is in wonderful condition being very clean! The three quarter length jacket has two pockets with straight flaps. The front closure has two vertical rows of five gilded brass fouled anchor closure buttons. There are an additional two buttons hidden underneath the lapel. The buttons are all marked "Kreigsmarine 1941", to the underside. The hand stitched on, right-side breast eagle is machine embroidered in golden-yellow cotton to a navy blue wool base. The machine stitched on EM Seaman collar tabs are constructed out of a blue wool covered buckrahm base. The interior of the jacket is lined in a blue wool. There are two interior breast pockets. The hanging piece at the top is ripped at the one side. The arms are line in a black and grey lined silk-rayon material. There is a stapled on paper manufacturers tag that shows the size and reads: "Soci�t� Fran�aise de confection administrative et militaire 15, Rue de la Fentaine au Roi, 15 Paris -Xie". The arm also has a white ink stamp with the manufactures marking and size. A great addition for your collection!
