Here we have an early Volksdeutsche Bewegung (Ethnic German Movement) in Luxemburg Membership Badge by Klein & Quenzer. The VdB was a Nazi movement in Luxembourg that flourished under the German-occupied Luxembourg during World War II. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The round shaped obverse depicts a red translucent pebbled mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “Heim ins Reich” (Home to the Reich) on a black backing. The slightly concave reverse shows a soldered on round plate that holds a horizontally placed nickel-silver pin that remains in well working condition. The back is also maker marked “K. & Q.” (Klein & Quenzer AG., Idar/Oberstein.). The enamel work has a small crack just above the “m” yet remains 97%+ intact. The pin measures approximately 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A great piece!
