Municipal Police Officer's Shako

Hard to find private purchase municipal Police Officer Shako. This is a very nicely conditioned piece that has a near perfect interior with the usual satin lining that has an open seam in the center and is neatly pleated at the sides. The inside is marked Hans Romer with what I think is a distributors decal to the side of the leather. The leather sweatband is ink stamped 57. This appears to have only light wear.. The front and back visors are in fine condition retaining all their stitching. The body of the exterior is bright and the eagle has some of the original frosting still intact, as do the chin scales. Comes complete with the officer's bullion cockade. There are no moth nips to the green body. The upper part of the helmet, the black top, shows some minor crazing, which is usual for these helmets.
