Nice tag from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oflag_79 located at Waggum Germany. When a prisoner was booked into camp, he was issued an ID number, which was stamped on this rectangular perforated tag along with the camp number (Oflag = Officer's POW camp, Stalag = General POW Camp). The perforation down the center allowed for the tag to be broken into two identical halves if the POW died. One would stay with the body and the other with the POW's records. Condition is Good with some pitting.
