A 1939 Order of the German Eagle Neck Cross and Star with Swords by Godet & Co. in Original Case. multi-piece construction neck cross; maltesian cross in gilded silver and well preserved white enamel; with four national eagles (Hoheitszeichen) between the arms of the cross; applied gilt swords; stamped on suspension eyelet "900" "21"; full length neck ribbon with ties; measuring approximately H 50.6 mm x W 50.3 mm, weighing 29.3 grams; multi-piece construction Star in silver, center appliqué maltesian cross in silver gilt and white enamel; with four national eagles (Hoheitszeichen) between the arms of the cross; applied gilt swords; reverse with two rivets; marked on pin "900"; measuring approximately 75.1 x 65.6 mm, weighing 45.4g; original case constructed of heavy cardboard stock covered with a red leatherette exterior; embossed with a golden national eagle on the outside lid with a golden line on all four edges of the top lid; interior of the lid lined in off-white silk; embossed "Orden vom Deutschen Verdienstkreuz mit Stern" in golden lettering on the inside of the lid; with a black velvet recessed medal bed; functional clasp for opening and closing; intact interior hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; extremely fine condition; measuring approximately 245mm x 165mm..
