This is the nicest SS buckle I've owned to date! Not Cheap! Don't buy it!
A Mint SS (SchutzStaffel) EM Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) by Richard Sieper & Sohne of Lüdenscheid 1938, that was introduced in 1927. It is constructed out of an injection molded aluminum alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts an SS eagle with its tongue sticking out and outstretched wings, clutching a centrally placed wreath static swastika in its talons. The eagle is above the SS motto: "Meine Ehre heißt Treue!" which is in front of a rough background that is surrounded by two twisted ropes in a circle. All of this lies on a smooth rectangular background. The reverse is clearly maker marked: "RZM 822/38 SS" Richard Sieper & Sohne, Lüdenscheid 1938). It also shows an integral catch and aluminum post, sleeve and prong assembly. It measures approximately 2 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. A highly desired piece!
