A decent Klaas Luft at a fair price! The blade on this one shows stains and sharpening. The correct stamped Klaas "Kissing Cranes" maker mark is intact. It has a good fit. The blade rates an VG/Exc. It has heavy surface scratches throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. A was the case with many of these smaller producers they purchased their components from WKC who made Their own components as well as many generics. The WKC scabbard is steel based with an airplane grey finish. It remains in excellent condition! The scabbard depicts good details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the single screw remains intact. The aluminium based Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has nice detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The aluminium pommel and steel ferrule look awesome as well complementing the oak leaf theme. The early trylon grip has aged to a nice warm orange over time and as we often see it is one tone darker to the obverse. This has the std double twist wire wrap intact. There are no chips or cracks. Really the blade is the only issue here and if you can live with that you have found yourself a deal!
