A rare transitional example! The blade on this one is nice. It has a dark, crisp and beautifully executed acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and double "Klittermann & Moog gmbh Haan b/ Solingen RZM M7/29 - 1939" maker mark! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light! To the obverse we do have some age. The blade rates an easy Exc+! The steel based, brown enamel painted scabbard body is very attractive! It has normal scratches and minor spidering, yet retains 98% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The zinc based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are near perfect! The ball continues to hold its original round shape and all four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The crossguards look wonderful as well! They show excellent plating. The grip / crossguard fits are excellent! The brown hardwood grip is near perfect as well! No flakes, chips but a hairline up from the roundel. The nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is just perfect! It also has a near perfect fit! Overall this is a nice transitional example with perfectly matching patina!
