Here’s a solid example of a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger! The unmarked blade on this one looks fine. It has a perfect tip and solid fit. Some crossgraining remains visible as you shine it in the light. The blade on this one rates Exc/Exc+. It shows age grey, spotting and surface scratches throughout. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard looks good. It shows age spotting throughout and there is one pressure mark to the obverse towards the tip. The finish remains nice and bright! It continues to depict great details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The aluminum bands are nicely hand enhanced! The two throat retaining screws continue to remain intact! The aluminum based burnished eagle crossguard has beautiful detail to the eagles head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The steel ferrule and burnished aluminum pommel both look excellent with nice detail! The grip is trylon based and has nicely colored to a warm orange with time. It has several hits, chips and cracks throughout. The dual twisted aluminum wire wrap remains tightly intact. A solid piece.
