Luftwaffe Sword by P. Weyersberg

Here we have a Luftwaffe Sword (Fliegerschwert) by P. Weyersberg! The single fuller, double edged and plated 26 3/5 inch long blade looks excellent! The "Paul Weyersberg Solingen" maker mark is crisp, dark and beautifully executed! It retains a wonderful mirror like finish! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit remains nice and tight! The blades rates and easy Exc++/NM. It shows the typical surface scratches/runner marks along with the odd rough spot to the edges. The blue pebbled buffer pad remains intact. The wood based blue pebbled, leather scabbard body remains in excellent condition! It has the odd pressure mark/scuff yet it retains 98%+ coverage! The silvered aluminum scalloped scabbard fittings remain nice and bright. The fittings are tightly secured with all four original screws! The blue leather hanger continues to remain intact! The hilt looks excellent! The crossguard is nickel-silver on this one and is normally associated with an earlier construction. It is atypical, could be transitional and this is exactly how I got it. The four sun wheel swastikas look great! The grip leather remains in excellent condition! The aluminum/steel triple wire wrap remains tightly intact. A quality aluminum example fit for your collection!
