Here we have a 1st Model (1934/35) Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch). The plated blade on this one looks good. The stamped “Rbt Klaas Solingen” maker mark is nicely executed! The platting gives this one a mirror like finish! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates a Exc++! It shows scratches, bubbling and little plating loss throughout. The majority of the original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The scabbard body is wood/steel based and covered in a blue pebbled leather. It has pressure marks and scuffs throughout. It retains 70%+ coverage. The silvered steel based scalloped scabbard fittings look good. The fittings are tightly secured with all five screws! The aluminum chain has 9 lower and 6 upper ringlets that ends at a well working “Ges. Gesch. OLC” marked clip. The hilt is zinc based and appears to have been gold gilded. The four sun wheel swastikas look fine. The grip leather remains in excellent condition! The aluminum wire wrap remains tightly intact. This one comes with a leather belt d ring that is maker marked and dated 1937.
