Here we have an early EM/NCO Bahnschutzpolizei Ärmelhoheitsabzeichen. The green backing was an earlier issue (prior to the black and blue backing) and would have been appropriate with the feldgraue Schutzbekleidung. It is constructed out of a machine embroidered white cotton thread to a field gray wool backing. The obverse features a white railway protection police eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons above a field gray backing. It measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide by 1 9/16 inches tall. Only two soilage spots. A rare bird!
