2nd Class Iron Cross by 65 with Packet

Here's a complete 2nd Class Iron Cross by K&Q with Packet! It is a multi-piece, die struck construction that has been soldered together. The single piece core is constructed out of an iron base that has been black enamel painted. The frame is constructed out of a nickel silver base that has been silver washed and soldered together. The obverse features; a pattée style cross that has a centrally placed embossed mobile swastika and "1939" to the lower arm, which is all on a black base and surrounded by a silvered ribbed/beaded row and a flat outlying border. The reverse features a raised "1813" to the lower arm and has that same ribbed and flat outlying border. The border has nicely aged leaving a desired patina. The paint shows minor spidering, yet remains 99%+ intact! To the top of the cross is a soldered loop and ring that is marked "65" (Klien & Quenzner). The ring holds 5 inches of the correct red, white and black rayon ribbon. The award and ribbon come housed in a blue packet. The issued packet reads "Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939" (Iron Cross 2. Class 1939) to the obverse and the maker name and location to the reverse. This cross has been worn and the packet shows small tears and wear.
