Fresh from a local area family! The blade on this one has some age spots and a nick and a rough spot to the blade you can find with your fingernail. The crossgrain is absolutely awesome! The tip is perfect, the fit is perfect, the acid etched Kroneck maker mark is beautifully executed! This blade rates a Exc++/Exc+. The solid nickel hilt fittings are beautifully executed and in fine shape with all matching patina. The "Art-Deco" style eagle crossguard looks excellent! The chip and crack-free black hardwood grip is in beautiful condition! You hardly ever find them like this! These grips were boiled in aniline and often want to chip as the die tends to make them brittle, this one is definitely better than 95% of them. It has a properly pinned RLB logo. The pins enamel is about 70%. The enamel on these are so thin, and they do not stand up. The black enameled painted dent-free scabbard has 95% paint coverage. The solid nickel scabbard fitting has nice matching patina. The screw is intact and unturned. It all fits are fine. There is no hanger with this one. Overall an very nice example in desirable early solid nickel example! Don’t let someone take this before you!
