Another textbook product by the scarce and desirable maker: "Bruder Schneider A.G. & Wien". The badge features a tombak based, two-piece, gold gilded and nickel silvered construction. The obverse depicts a gold gilded diving Luftwaffe eagle, clutching a swastika within its talons, and is surrounded by a nickel silver laurel/oak leaf wreath. The badge features the correct measurements, weight and is completely non-magnetic, as it should be. The reverse has the correct brass bar hinge (with a portion of the interior pin sticking out, as you often find on these), 'question mark' shaped catch, pin and cloverleaf maker mark that reads "BSW"! The bright golden eagle provides a wonderful contrast to the dark wreath. The details to the wings and wreath are absolutely beautiful! See page 122 of Durante's Paratrooper Badge reference. Textbook! This one is not cheap and it will sell! One badge that you can't afford to pass up!
