Honest uncleaned piece here purchased directly from the Vet's family this week. The bright blade retains an nice crisp acid etched motto and maker mark! The tip and fit are both perfect! There is no sharpening, nicks to the edge of the blade, or damage. The blade rates Exc++/NM. It does have some witness marks from where the runners have rested for the past 80 years but that's it. The pot metal based hilt is nickel plated and has a bit off bubbling as we normally see on these pieces. The base of these hilts RAD Leaders are pot metal and the majority of them bubble and lose their plating over time, this is better than most. The grip plates have a few wee hairliners, like a couple mm in length, they are nothing. All of the screws are intact and unturned. The scabbard silver plating has all gone to a blue-black patina! It remains completely dent free. I know this thing would clean up real nice but I prefer to leave them as they are.
