A last ditch Alcoso. The blade on this one has age and pitting. It has a tight fit, sharp tip and the last production etched "AWS Alcoso Solingen" maker mark. Overall the blade rates VG/Exc. The original buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silver plated scabbard has matching age and plating loss. It is wonderfully detailed with oak leaves and acorns and random pebbling throughout. There is some minor oxidization spotting throughout. The single screw remains intact. It is dent free. The matching patinaed crossguard looks good! It is beautifully detailed throughout the eagles feathers and wings along with the top side embossed acorns and oak leaves! The steel ferrule and pommel are both nicely detailed! The plaster based celluloid covered grip looks excellent being chip and crack-free! The grip wire is intact.
