Here we have a Radio Operator/Air Gunner Badge in cloth purchased from a Vet's estate. It is machine woven in 3 different threads on a Luftwaffe grey wool base The obverse the badge depicts an open-winged Luftwaffe eagle clutching four lightning bolts in its talons. The eagle is in front of a half laurel leaf half oak leaf wreath and has a mobile swastika to the very bottom. the reverse has a cotton material that's been hand-stitched on it. The inside has been slightly filled giving the badge a 3D look. There are some traces of glue from where this badge was removed from the Vet's scrapbook.
