Textbook B. H. Mayer- unmarked L/18. This is made of a die-struck, bunt metall base that has been silver washed. This particular example is, 'the reference' as seen here. The obverse features a National open winged eagle clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons, above a bannered '1939'. The reverse shows a solid full back. This piece has the correct; barrel hinge, large square wire catch and wire pin. All components are non-magnetic. The silver wash has nicely patinaed with time.
